Airgreets webapp

Background

Airgreets was the leading vacation rental company in the DACH region. The company – based in Innsbruck (Austria) – offered an all-in-one service and specialized in the management and marketing of holiday properties. In addition to the cities of Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich, Airgreets was active in over 10 holiday regions in the Austrian and Italian Alpine regions.

Challenges

Aigreets parted company with their previous technology partner and was left without documentation on developments. As the company was preparing itself for a professional investor buyout they needed a clear status of the code developed to be able to define development scopes . And Airgreets also aimed to implement new functionalities to comply  with business goals and legal regulations of the market.

Solution

First Evista developers executed an IT audit in order to clearly describe functionalities and capabilities of the existing webapp. Then the project continued with reshaping the codebase to amend it with new functionalities and with the introduction of Docker technology.

A team of 3 developers started the next phase of the project: new developments. One of them was the full integration of the business process with the central system of Austrian tax office to comply with local rules. And for a better transparency to Airgreets’ clients – landlords – we have also streamlined the generator of documents emitted by the system: invoices, periodical reports, etc.

The final phase of our cooperation with Airgreets was the project transmission to the development team of their new investors: our IT audit and documentation of the new functionalities served as a base of future developments.
